The Art Institutes

The Art Institutes website was a project where I worked in conjunction with the client’s in-house IT manager. We worked in tandem to update the look and feel of the former website and make the new site more flexible and accessible. My role was to produce self-encapsulated widgets that could be dropped on various pages, along with the corresponding CSS and JS.

A large component of this site was to ensure that it not only had the high aesthetic value that a design school necessitated, but was also fully accessible to all users regardless of visual or physical capabilities. That meant the website needed to meet the highest standards for ADA compliance as well as being fully navigable for visually impaired users and those that can not use a traditional mouse and keyboard.
